Somatic Mindful Stress Relief

Notice your inner "white knuckling".

When things seems out of your control.

Where does it sit in your body?

A collapsing of your chest maybe? A tightness in your throat?

Maybe your jaw is so tight that your teeth hurt or you have a tension headache?

Take a moment to bring it to your awareness.

Then take it for a walk.

Visualizing the tension pouring out of you and into whatever is around you.

A tree, a branch, a leaf, the snow on the ground, rain drops, a puddle, a rock. Whatever you choose.

Take another moment and feel how the tension has melted.
